Great Prison Testimony
At the beginning of the year, we launched ministries into the Lamphun Provincial Prison. There are a small number of believers there, and we have been trying to get to know them and encourage them in their faith. This past month, however, Jim was the one who was encouraged. Our team entered the prison to conduct a prison church service, and a testimony given by a Christian church leader there was great. This is what he shared, "When I came to prison, I was not a Christian. But I am so thankful that I was able to hear about Jesus Christ and be saved. Sometimes we have problems in life, but I know God is with me and will help me to handle them. Whether I am here in prison or living on the outside, I will serve the Lord." Pray for Mr. Dton, the Christian leader at the Lamphun Prison, and ask the Lord to encourage him as he leads the Christians there.
DOR Construction Project- Getting Closer to Completion (But Not Finished Yet)
The construction project has been going slower than we had hoped. We are making steady progress, but we are now looking at mid-May as a completion date. The girls will continue to be housed in their rented facility until the buildings are finished. While this is not ideal, it will allow us to get the job done. We appreciate your prayers and support so much. We recognize this giant undertaking could not be possible without you, our ministry partners, standing with us. Thank you!
Please pray for Jim. He is now directing the entire building project. Pastor Boonlert has been overwhelmed by the project and has not been able to effectively manage the worksite. Jim is managing the budget, buying materials, and spending a lot of time on the site each day to manage the work team. It is a lot for one person to handle.
Even in the midst of weariness and strain, we are encouraged that soon a permanent home for DOR will be a reality. This will be the first step in making the ministry more self-sufficient and less dependent upon foreign donations.

The girl's dorm is taking shape. Pictured is the interior of their bedroom. The dorm has been painted, the T-bar ceiling has been installed and tile is being laid. Electricians are wiring the buildings as well and windows will soon be installed.
We have felt the Lord lead us to assist DOR. DOR is a girl's home that was started in order to protect girls who have one or both parents in prison. They live on the margins of society and would be in danger of exploitation if DOR could not provide a place of refuge for them. At DOR, lives are turned around, and these girls on the margins become followers of Christ. Click here Daughters of Ruth or use the tab at the top of the page to read more about the DOR home.
Family News
Praise God that rainy season is beginning. We are now getting daily showers which has ended the air pollution caused by burning. It is so nice to breathe clean air again! The hot temperatures have also dropped down into the 90's which makes life more comfortable as well. Home school continues to go well and is fun on most days:-) Becky's birthday was in April, and the boys in the house tried to give her an extra special day.
